The EmployAbility Project, Inc. has been established as a 501c3 corporation to assist qualified persons with disabilities and other underserved populations prepare for employment in information technology and other fields in economic demand. Candidates will receive services that prepare them for employment: screening, education, mentoring, internship and placement for their particular skill area.

Overview of Services

Academic Planning

Individuals work with an EmployAbility Academic Advisor to develop a comprehensive academic plan that outlines coursework & identifies services needed to be successful in pursuit of chosen career.

Career Exploration

Focused interview with a person in the industry that is conducted by the individual to gather valuable information about the nature of the job/the industry/the company that will assist the individual with future career planning & networking.

Internships

An EmployAbility Coordinator assists individuals with identifying appropriate internship opportunities. An internship is identified, and we work with the individual and the employer to develop the internship agreement.

Resume development

Development of a resume template that involves the individual, the mentor, and representatives from the EmployAbility BAC who offer feedback & guidance. The end result is a comprehensive resume that is within industry standards, as well as help with accountability.

Networking

Discuss how to build and use professional contacts.  Learn the value of having a personal network, how to develop useful contacts, how to maintain and grow your network successfully and efficiently.

Specialized Programs

We also have specialized services like our Student Transition to Employment Program (STEP) and Veteran Transition To Employment Program (VTEP) for unique candidates.
